Being Anti-Woke is just as bad as the opposite
All right... I've come to my final breaking point with all this, and I'm already starting to learn the hard way that being anti-woke is just as bad as being woke itself. Whether you are woke or anti-woke, it has proven to me to become a lose-lose situation for pretty much everyone. This is not going to be an easy journal to write for me, but this is something everyone needs to know. Because of how nasty politics have gotten, it's become a thing where it's like really toxic, and it can really consume people. Trust me, I know this myself since I have been there long enough to know how corrupt this can make us. I really don't know how to even put this out there, but I learned earlier today that getting involved with woke politics, even if you are anti-woke, can really alienate us all, and I have been a part of it since 2019. I'm realizing the hard way now that I've made a rather bad choice. Thanks @RosalinasSoulmate, you just woke me up to the harsh reality. You're lucky I didn't kill

When Do Dark Fics Go Too Far?
I know, I know; a dark fic doesn't exactly have to be in line with the series it's based on, but I believe that's a terrible way to look at things. If anything, I feel that a dark fic based on any show, game, or movie should at least be respectful of the original source. Plainly speaking, part of my disdain for fanfics started when I first joined the Subpages Cleanup forum on TV Tropes for the Complete Monster forum. In short, a complete monster is the worst character in their work who are purely evil. They have no mitigating factors (like a sympathetic backstory), they are the most heinous characters by their work (they need to be able to st
Revenge is defined as the act of retaliation for injuries or perceived wrongs. This is what one may consider one the most basic of human behaviors. Although preconceived thought must enter into the equation before some may consider it revenge, the act of retaliation in the name of self-defense has been hardwired into our animalistic brains for centuries.
Revenge is such a vast and complex concept that one could branch off into any number of ramblings and examples to back up their opinions. Religion and culture play big parts in ones view on revenge. So does personal history and experience. It appears, however, to never change in vie

Dark and Edgy Characters done the Right way
This is basically kinda my "opinion" piece on my journal, just because I want to throw around my two cents on some sort of problems some storytellers/ game developers have during their production. Character building is something that I have a lot of adoration for, since I could see people make some creative characters filled with backstories, personality, and a sort of place for their initial plot that synergies well with the setting. Some of the characters I have liked are akin to what people may call "Dark" or "edgy", but they seem to be written well. Kenshiro from "Fist of the North Star", and Batman seem to have covered this sort of chara

Rethinking the Top 10 Overrated Cartoons
Back in the early 2010s. I used to participate in a number of memes found on DeviantArt. I would use certain templates to offer my thoughts and opinions in my spare time. One of these included a list of 'overrated cartoons', in which I would talk about animated series' I felt didn't deserve the praise or attention they received.
Since I made this list, I've learned to be more thoughtful and constructive with my criticisms. So I thought why not look back on this list and re-evaluate these choices, and see how my opinions hold up. I'm not doing this to sound like a Mr Enter wannabe, but rather take a look at each animated series with a perspec
